Red Ribbon Week is coming up at Tuxedo UFSD! 🎀
Some of our 9th grade students kicked things off at Goshen High School, where they took part in fun team-building activities and even got to meet a friendly therapy dog! 🐶 The Red Ribbon Campaign® is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program, reminding us each year of the importance of living a drug-free life.
Next week, GFB will celebrate with a full Spirit Week lineup to show our commitment to making healthy choices. “Life is a puzzle. Solve it drug free.” encourages everyone to work together and make positive decisions that complete the big picture. 🧩
❤️ Stay tuned for the spirit week schedules for both GGM and GFB that will be posted later!

Who doesn’t love a secret path that leads to books and adventure? 📚✨
Mrs. Blume is carrying on her special tradition, taking her second graders on an adventurous trip to the Tuxedo Park Library! With their own library cards, students had the freedom to explore the shelves and pick out books that matched their unique interests. They followed a secret path to the library, enjoying the beautiful fall foliage along the way. Once there, they discovered a variety of books from cookbooks to Who Will Win? and even Greek mythology. The students also brought their very own decorated tote bags to carry the books of their choosing.
📖🚶♂️ Happening every three weeks, these trips give students the opportunity to discover new stories and stay inspired. This experience is a wonderful way to spark a love of reading, creativity, and independence in our young learners. Thank you, Mrs. Blume, for always promoting a love for books and curiosity in your students!🌟#TUFSD #TuxedoStrong #TuxedoParkLibrary

Rock on, readers!🪨✨
Thanks to our amazing PTO, our students had an incredible visit from author Jay Miletsky! He shared his heartwarming story, “Ricky, the Rock That Couldn’t Roll” about a flat rock who can’t roll like his friends. With teamwork from his friends and a wise ladybug, Ricky learns how to join in the fun and shows that no one gets left behind. The story highlights the power of friendship, inclusion, and perseverance. Each student even received their very own signed copy of the book! This was such an inspiring and memorable experience for our young readers and writers. 🎸📘

In 2012, a tradition was started that is loved by students to this day. It’s called Cafe’ for a Day! It’s sweet treats and delicious snacks sold by the National Honor Society at our school store in the beautiful front hall of GFBHS. Pictured here are two members of NHS: Co President Jack Reilly and member Phineas Landgraff. Stop by one week a month for a goodie 🍪

Get some rest tonight, students - the PSAT is tomorrow! Good luck to everyone taking it! #TuxedoStrong #TUFSD 🌪️❤️

At the start of each school year, Orange County conducts an emergency early dismissal drill. The drill will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, and students will be dismissed from school 15 minutes earlier than usual. There will be no after-school activities, Healthy Kids, or sports except for varsity teams.

🍎🍏 Our Kindergarteners had a sweet day at Pennings Orchard! They picked so many delicious apples straight from the trees, explored the corn maze, and loved visiting all the friendly farm animals. There were smiles, laughter, and lots of fall fun all around! A big thank you to Mrs. Sayles and Mrs. Hekl for making this special trip possible, and to our amazing chaperones for joining in on the adventure! 🌽🐮❤️
