🌮🍪 Tacos and Fried Oreos? Yes please! 😋
Students in Tuxedo High School’s Cultures of the World class had an amazing time exploring food and culture through some delicious favorites! We celebrated Latin culture by making classic tacos packed with flavor and fun, and explored a beloved American fair-food tradition by deep frying everyone’s favorite Oreos! 🇲🇽🇺🇸
From cooking together to sharing lots of laughs (and yummy food!), it was a hands-on experience our students won’t forget. Learning about culture has never tasted so good! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳✨❤️🌪️
The last picture shows the “health inspectors” who came by to taste test the Oreos 😂. They found them to be delicious!

Congratulations to our scholar athletes!

Sarah Cruz Granillo-
Sarah has played varsity volleyball for the past three years, and has been a staple on the court throughout her tenure. She played multiple positions, wherever the team needed her, and thrived in all of them. She has been a leader through two State Final Four runs during her sophomore and junior years, as well as being our anchor this year as a senior, helping lead the team to the Regional Championship. As a junior she was awarded the Sportsmanship Award at the State Final Four, as well as being named to the Section IX Class D All Star team. During her senior year, she was again named to the Section IX Class D All Star Team. Sarah has always been a hardworking young lady who is a role model for others to follow. Her drive to succeed is something to be admired.

Logan Saari-Pozanaski-
Logan Saari-Poznanski was a two-year Varsity Basketball player and team captain. He played with a tremendous amount of effort and hustle and was one of the team's leading scorers and rebounders. As a converted soccer player, his athletic prowess showed immediately on the basketball court. Physical accolades aside, Logan is equally impressive as a student, leader and a person. He was an absolute joy to coach and we look forward to seeing what the future has in store for him!

🥞✨ Flipping into Fun at Tuxedo High! ✨🥞

Tuxedo High School’s Cultures of the World class turned up the heat and got cooking—chocolate chip pancakes on the griddle! 🍫👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 The classroom was filled with delicious smells and lots of smiles as students worked together to create the perfect stack.

We were lucky to have a special guest, Mrs. Barbara Quinn, stop by to share some expert tips and, of course, taste test the pancakes! Safe to say—they passed with flying colors! 😄👏

But the best part? Sharing the love! Students delivered pancakes to teachers and staff, who were thrilled to enjoy a sweet mid-day treat.

It was a fantastic day of learning, cooking, and bringing people together through food. Tuxedo High knows how to make learning delicious! 🥞🎉 ❤️🌪️#TuxedoPride #CookingUpCulture #SweetSuccess

💜🎓 Great Minds Think Alike at Tuxedo High! 🎓💜
College Acceptance Day brought some extra fun as Spanish teacher Mrs. Anne Castellanos and senior Jack Reilly twinned in their University at Albany gear! 🟣👕
Mrs. Castellanos, a proud UAlbany alum, couldn’t be more excited to see Jack heading to her alma mater this fall—and the matching outfits made it official…they’re twins! 😄👏
Moments like these are what make Tuxedo High so special—connections, celebrations, and lots of school spirit! Best of luck to Jack as he begins his next chapter at UAlbany! 💫📚 #TuxedoPride ❤️🌪️#CollegeBound #UAlbany

Our senior members of the National Honor Society showed up in style, proudly wearing their college gear as they celebrate the next step in their journey! 👕🎉 A special shoutout to our NHS officers, whose leadership and dedication have truly made an impact at Tuxedo High School.
These incredible students embody the four pillars of NHS—service, leadership, character, and scholarship—and they’re ready to carry those values with them into this exciting new chapter. From giving back to their community to leading by example in and out of the classroom, they’ve set the bar high and inspired those around them. ❤️🌪️
We couldn’t be prouder of all they’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to see the amazing things they’ll achieve in college and beyond. Keep soaring, seniors—you will be missed more than you know!❤️🦅 #DecisionDay2026 #TuxedoPride #NHSLeaders

Our first and second graders had an exciting, hands-on learning experience during their trip to the Hudson Highlands Nature Center! 🐾
Mrs. Blume’s 2nd grade and Mrs. Matthies’ 1st grade classes participated in the engaging Animal Kingdom program, where students explored the unique characteristics of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and birds. Using live animals, they discovered how scientists classify different animal groups and what makes each one special.
Students also got a chance to interact with a variety of materials like feathers, shells, pelts, and eggs, adding a fun, hands-on element to their learning. From understanding how animals move to learning about predator-prey relationships and life cycles, our young scientists were fully immersed in the wonders of the animal world! 🦎🦉 #tuxedopride #tuxedoufsd
