Today, we celebrated our Senior Class with a special "Signing & Snacks" event! Students had

the opportunity to sign one another's yearbooks, collect messages from teachers and

classmates, and enjoy pizza and sweet treats together as they reflected on their time at our

school.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Foligno for organizing this wonderful event and creating a

memorable opportunity for our seniors to celebrate their accomplishments and friendships

before graduation. We wish our seniors all the best as they begin their next chapter!

Mrs. Rota’s 4th grade scientists put their investigative skills to work during a New York State Science Lab focused on electrical circuits! Students explored how circuits work and tested different ways to make a light bulb shine brighter by adjusting components within their circuit. Through hands-on experimentation, teamwork, and critical thinking, students learned how energy flows and discovered the factors that affect the brightness of a bulb. Great job to our young engineers and scientists for their curiosity and problem-solving skills! 💡🔬⚡

Second and sixth grade students had an unforgettable adventure at the Bronx Zoo! From exploring animal habitats to learning about wildlife from around the world, students enjoyed a day filled with discovery, excitement, and hands-on learning. The trip provided a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences while creating lasting memories with friends and teachers. NY Senator Skoufis invited the valedictorians and salutatorians from District 42 high schools to be honored at the Capitol Building in Albany on Wednesday, May 20. This included George F. Baker High School’s Salutatorian, Logan Saari-Poznanski, and Valedictorian, Kayleigh Donnelly. Students and their family members met with Senator Skoufis in the historic building, where photos were taken on the Senate Chamber dais and the famous “Million Dollar Staircase.” After lunch and a Q&A session with the Senator’s staff, students watched a Senate session from the balcony. During the session, they were recognized by the New York State Senate with a standing ovation after Senator Skoufis read their names aloud. Congratulations to Kayleigh and Logan! 🎉
