food drive

A delivery of canned food and dry goods arrived at the Sloatsburg Food Pantry on Thursday, November 17, thanks to National Honor Society, Interact Club and Student Council members. The groups collected the donated items as part of one of five food drives organized by members of the Tuxedo UFSD community each school year.

With Ms. Jones and Mr. Reilly looking on, students boxed up the items in preparation of the delivery. Ahead of each drive, organizers work with the food pantry to find out what items are needed. This time around it was cake mixes, canned food and children’s cereal.

In the coming weeks and months, students will be collecting pasta, sauces, snack packs and toiletries for future drives.
