Jack Reilly Youth Bureau

Congratulations to Jack Reilly, who was recently honored with the Youth Outstanding Leadership/Volunteerism & Citizenship Award at the Orange County Youth Bureau’s County Executive’s Youth and Adult Awards Ceremony!

The honor recognizes a young person who dedicates time to helping others, contributes to the betterment of their community, and demonstrates strong leadership skills. Jack was nominated by TUFSD school counselor Chris Oliva, who described the George F. Baker High School junior as someone who can always be counted on to do the right thing — even when it’s not popular or easy. “Jack is honest, has integrity and always looks out for the best interests of his classmates — even if it means sacrificing his own popularity.”

Jack’s leadership, volunteerism and citizenship include, but are not limited to:

  • Earning his Eagle Scout rank in November 2024 by building a community free library.

  • Volunteering with the Sloatsburg Food Pantry.

  • Participating in GFB Student Council, National Honor Society and the Ethics Club.

  • Receiving the New York State Triple C Award.

  • Being an active member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 2146.

Way to go, Jack!
