A round of applause for sixth graders Madisen Maloney. and Elizabeth McElroy for their outstanding performance in the Orange County Music Educators Association (OCMEA) Elementary All-County Chorus last month!
These talented performers were selected to participate in the prestigious OCMEA Festival held at Warwick Valley High School, where they joined top vocalists from across the county to rehearse and perform five choral pieces under the direction of guest conductors.
George Grant Mason music teacher Sam Johnson had the pleasure of coaching the young vocalists and expressed his pride in their performance. “Madisen and Elizabeth put in a tremendous amount of effort to prepare for the festival. I am truly impressed by their dedication and commitment — they are rock stars!”
We couldn’t agree more. Way to go, Madisen and Elizabeth — you have made your school and community proud!
