Nomination Petitions for Board of Education Candidates
A school board member takes on one of the most important citizen responsibilities: overseeing the education of the community’s youth. The TUFSD school board is seeking men and women who find excitement and satisfaction in confronting tough challenges and working collaboratively to rise above them and help students in our community succeed. In 2024, three BOE seats will be up for election.
In order for your name to be placed on the ballot as a candidate for a seat on the TUFSD Board of of Education, please note the following requirements:
Must be a qualified voter of the District: a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age or older, be a resident of the District for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one (1) year prior to the election
May not have been removed from any other School District office within the preceding year
May not be a current employee of the School District
Must be able to read and write
May not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office (click here for more information)
Petitions for nomination are available for print here. All petitions must be returned to the Office of the District Clerk, 1 Tornado Drive Tuxedo, NY 10987 no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024.
